| Perfection Planetary Pegs Perfection Planetary Pegs look like conventional cello pegs but have a gear mechanism to prevent slipping or sticking. We have in stock pegs designed for 1/2 and 3/4 cellos with a 12mm shank. Pegs for 4/4 cellos can be ordered in diameters from 12 to 15mm. Installation should be done by a luthier. Two are right-hand thread, two left-hand thread, and must be placed on the proper side -- see included instructions. If your pegs are different than the diameter shank of the Planetary peg, the holes will be need to be reamed out or bushed. Length is uniform and will need to be cut for your instrument. Installation is not permanent; pegs can be removed and replaced with regular pegs of equivalent diameter. These are great for cellists with arthritis, young students -- or anyone who has trouble tuning with conventional pegs due to seasonal changes from hot humid summers to cold dry winters. |
